Welcome to the Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation Website ::
Foundation Supports Ovarian Cancer Survivors

A very important role of our Foundation is the support of those who are currently undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. This support is not only for the patients themselves but also for those who support and care for these women. Our Foundation sponsors a monthly meeting held on the third Sunday of each month from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Brookwood Wellness (adjacent to Gold's Gym in Vestavia). Light refreshments are served at each meetting and topics vary from month to month. These meetings, facilitated by CanSurvive, feature speakers or activities which are focused to help not only the patient, but the caregivers and family members who are experiencing this disease with them. The meetings give the women and their caregivers an opportunity to share their stories and offer comfort to one another.  The Laura Crandal Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation is honored to partner with the CanSurvive Support Group in their efforts.

Can Survive is a support group established primarily to support women (and their families) suffering with any type of gynecologic cancer. This organization also conducts monthly meetings held the third Friday of each month during lunch. For more information about the mission of CanSurvive and their work, please visit their website.

We are pleased to be able to work so closely with CanSurvive in their efforts and are proud of the important work they do in this area.

Support group meetings are held outside of the Birmingham area as well. For a schedule of area meetings in Alabama and Florida, click here.
